Higher Learning Commission (HLC)

Manchester University has been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1932, 230 S. LaSalle, Ste. 7-500, Chicago, IL 60604, www.hlcommission.org. Please utilize the HLC widget to the right of this paragraph for full status information. Manchester will have an Assurance Review in 2026-2027 and a Comprehensive Evaluation in 2032-2033.

State of Indiana

Manchester University is authorized by name in statute as an approved institution of higher education in the state of Indiana.

Distance education students living in other states may also utilize this process to contact the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

 

Athletic Training Accreditation

The undergraduate and graduate level Athletic Training programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101. The next comprehensive program review will be in 2026-2027.

 

Nursing Program Accreditation

The Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program and the Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Manchester University were first accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in April 2023.  Current accreditation approval is effective through 2028, with a site visit in Fall 2027.

The Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (PLA) and the Indiana State Board of Nursing (ISBN) have approved initial accreditation for Manchester University with an anticipated full approval Spring 2024. http://www.in.gov/pla/professions/nursing-home/nursing-education/ 

 

Nutrition and Nutrigenomics Program Accreditation

Manchester University’s Master of Science in Nutrition and Nutrigenomics has been granted candidate status by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2190,Chicago, IL 60606-6995, (312) 899-0040 ext 5400. 

 

Pharmacy Program Accreditation

Manchester University’s Doctor of Pharmacy Program was first accredited in 2015-2016 with the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, 2135 South LaSalle Street, Suite 4100, Chicago, IL 60503; 312/644-3575; FAX 312/664-4652; web site www.acpe-accredit.org.  Manchester has a focused review in 2023-2024.  Current accreditation approval is effective through June 2030, with a comprehensive review in 2029-2030.


Physical Therapy Accreditation

Effective 10/31/23, 11/12/24 Manchester University has been granted Candidate for Accreditation status by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education, 3030 Potomac Ave., Suite 100, Alexandria, Virginia 22305-3085; phone: 703-706-3245; email: accreditation@apta.org. Candidate for Accreditation is an accreditation status of affiliation with the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education that indicates the program may matriculate students in technical/professional courses. Achievement of Candidate for Accreditation status does not assure that the program will be granted Initial Accreditation.

Social Work Accreditation

The baccalaureate level social work program was first accredited in 1977 by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Manchester had a review in June 2023 and current accreditation approval is effective through June 2031.

 

Teacher Education Accreditation

The baccalaureate level teacher education program is accredited by the Indiana Professional Standards Board and by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (CAEP). Manchester had a review in Fall 2021 and current accreditation approval is effective through 2028.
